Peter Briggs
Peter has over 20 years’ experience in the private sector initially working in the UK automotive and Textiles industry. As offshore manufacturing gathered pace he worked extensively in Senior management roles in the developing economies of China and India. During this time valuable experience was gained in manufacturing and supplying Blue chip companies such as M&S and Calvin Klein. At the same time, Peter gained a reputation for having a can-do attitude with a proven track record in delivering business growth, and gained a wealth of experience in strategic growth and general management. Upon returning to UK peter joined an IT company and later moved to become a director of a new internet business. Peter re-joined Bradford Chamber in Aug 2011 having previously worked for 3 years as a business growth advisor. He can offer valuable advise based on a proven track record of successful growth development in manufacturing and IT/digital technologies.

Insan has nearly twenty years’ experience of the information technology sector, from trainee software engineer to Director in software R &D, operations and management with GEC, Marconi Avionics, McDonnell Douglas and Ultimate Corp in the UK, Europe and North America. In addition, Insan has gained hands-on management experience of the retail sector during his work within a family business and also as owner manager, in the setting up and running of his own IT Services business. In 2002, Insan joined Business Link as a Strategic Business Adviser supporting businesses in West Yorkshire and then joined ATL as a Business Adviser and progressed to a Project management role being responsible for delivery of numerous support and regeneration programmes working across Yorkshire and with diverse business communities. To the prospective new business, Insan offers a wealth of knowledge and experience gained over the last thirty years in project implementation and management, business development, operations, marketing – specialising in the creative digital sectors and marketing.

Phil Harrison
Phil has been involved directly in business advice services since 1997, and previously in business education and training for over 15 years. He has also been a small business owner/manager of three family businesses for a total of 16 years. His business experience covers a variety of industries: manufacturing, engineering, retailing, armed services, education and training, consultancy services. Whilst he holds expertise in: Strategic Development & Planning, Financial Analysis, Marketing & Promotion, his greatest strength is the generation of Creative Solutions for Business. This ability to identify and assess creative opportunities is especially useful for small businesses that are ambitious for growth.

Thomas Knight
Thomas is an accredited business adviser who has worked supporting businesses and regeneration for over 7 years within the local district. Thomas has experience and developed specialist skills to work across multiple business disciplines, especially to assist high growth start up businesses. He has a proven track record of working successfully with business owners to understand the needs in developing enterprises to start, establish and grow. Thomas is also a specialist for the Logistics & Professional / Financial Services business sectors providing a point of contact and a source of industry developments. Carolyn Townsley
Carolyn has been providing Business Support solutions to companies across the West Yorkshire area for over 9 years, with particular emphasis on coaching business owners and management to help them with their growth strategies.
Carolyn has a strong track record in Project Management with specialities in Strategic Planning, Leadership and Management Development and High Growth, and was actively involved in one of the first Government supported High Growth programmes from 2004-2006 in conjunction with Leeds Met & Leeds University.
In addition to business support Carolyn draws heavily from her personal experience of working in the family manufacturing business from a young age and subsequently was a member of the Regional Management Team for a National Food Retailer, with responsibility for the entire supply chain process.
Carolyn provides impartial and objective advice designed to help businesses overcome the key challenges within their company, in addition to identifying other specialist help that your business may need, by working collaboratively with key partner organisations further adding value to the overall service provided from the Rising Stars programme.
